Travel
We invite all participants to
Combinatorics 2022 to check carefully
what restrictions might apply before travelling to Italy due to the
consequences of the ongoing pandemic.
It is their duty to procure themselves all documentation needed in order
to be able to enter the country and attend public meetings and conference
here. As the regulations are in flux, we recommend to check frequently what
might be required.
Some information is available on
the following
web page of the Italian Ministry of Health.
By plane or train
Valerio Catullo
The nearest airport is
Valerio Catullo in Villafranca di Verona (40km).
There is a daily shuttle bus connecting this airport to
Verona Porta Nuova train station.

Mantua once every hour; the trip takes approximately 46 minutes.
Other airports
The airport
Il Caravaggio
in Orio al Serio (BG) is 100km away. We recommend people to take a bus to
Milan centrale and then a train to Mantua.
The airports Milan Linate, Bologna and Venice are about 150 km away.
By train
Mantua has a railway station which is only a 5 minutes walk away from
the conference venue.
There are direct trains to Mantua from Verona (North-East 40min), Milan
(West 2 hours) and Modena (South 70 minutes).
The web site of the national railway company is
trenitalia.com. A useful site for connections in europe
is also that of
DB.
By car
There are two exits of the E45/A22 motorway close to Mantua; we recommend
people to take the exit
Mantova Nord and then follow the indications
for the
Strada provinciale SP10 toward city centre and/or train
station. Please, observe that there are
limits for accessing
the city centre by car (even if these limits do not apply to the area of
the train station). In particular, circulation without a permit is not permitted
in the areas marked as
ZTL (zona traffico limitato) in the map.
In case you decide to come by car, we invite you to check with the
hotels about the availability of parking. There are also some
public parkings available, but they might be expensive.
